Web Design for Las Vegas Small Businesses
For Las Vegas clinics, property managers, contractors and restaurants who serve a fast-growing local population alongside tens of millions of visitors.
A tenant has a broken AC and searches your company name at 10 p.m. Your site has a phone number that goes to voicemail and no way to file a request.
This isn't a tenant problem. It's a website that stops at the office door, when the questions keep coming after hours.
What we would do first for a Las Vegas business: list what customers try to do on your site outside office hours, then check whether each one works on a phone without calling you.
What Las Vegas customers search for
Las Vegas has two very different audiences. There are residents: 679,817 in the city, per the Census Bureau's Vintage 2025 estimates, up from 645,774 at the April 2020 base. And there are visitors: the LVCVA's calendar-year 2025 tourism indicators count 38,545,700 visitors, down 7.5% from 2024, plus 5,988,200 convention attendees.
Most local service businesses, clinics, contractors, property managers, live off residents, not tourists. Their customers search "apartments for rent near me", "dentist accepting new patients", "AC repair". Restaurants and entertainment businesses need to catch both, which means answering visitors' basic questions (where, when, how much) on the first screen.
33.0% of residents aged 5 and over speak a language other than English at home, and 24.8% speak Spanish, per the Census American Community Survey 2024.
Which Las Vegas businesses most need a better website
The Census County Business Patterns 2023 cover all of Clark County, which is much larger than the city of Las Vegas itself. They count 54,202 establishments, 84.6% with fewer than 20 employees:
- Outpatient health care: 5,779, including 964 dental offices.
- Restaurants and bars: 5,457.
- Real estate: 3,485, including property managers.
- Specialty trade contractors: 2,526, of which 1,146 are plumbing, heating, air-conditioning and electrical contractors.
- Legal offices: 1,450.
Health care leading restaurants is not what most people expect in Las Vegas, but it's what the county count shows. Real estate and property management is the other standout, and those businesses need a site that handles listings, applications and maintenance requests, not just a phone number.
Mobile and speed
The Census survey on computer and internet use finds 95.1% of Las Vegas households have broadband, but 11.6% have a smartphone and no other computer and 15.1% rely only on cellular data.
Google's Core Web Vitals set 2.5 seconds for the main content and 200 milliseconds for a tap response on real mobile visits. Listing pages with dozens of full-size photos rarely make it. We hand-code pages and size images for the phone that's asking for them.
ADA website accessibility
The Department of Justice's Guidance on Web Accessibility and the ADA, March 18, 2022, says Title III covers businesses open to the public and names WCAG as helpful technical guidance. Its examples include missing alt text, videos without captions, poor contrast, unlabeled forms and mouse-only navigation. Rental listings are image-heavy by nature, so every unit photo needs a short text description, and the application form has to work by keyboard.
Local SEO with a Google Business Profile
Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, and there's no way to pay for a better local ranking. Keep categories specific, hours current, and reviews answered. For property managers, answer maintenance complaints in reviews calmly and point people to the request form on your site.
Today → After, for a Las Vegas property manager
| Today | After |
|---|---|
| Vacancies posted only on listing sites | Available units on your own site with described photos |
| Maintenance requests by phone or voicemail | Mobile request form with photo upload, logged automatically |
| Application is a PDF | Online application that works by keyboard |
| English only | Tenant pages in Spanish and English |
An illustration with our assumptions: 60 maintenance calls a month at 6 minutes each is 6 hours a month, 72 hours a year. At $24 an hour, that's about $1,730 a year of office time, before counting the requests lost to voicemail.
When it's not worth it yet
If you manage fewer than 20 doors and know every tenant by name, a phone and a shared inbox may be enough. Build the portal when the calls start to crowd out the work.
