Marketing and AI Automation for Chiropractic Clinics

For chiropractors whose revenue depends on patients completing a care plan, not just booking a first visit.

A new patient books, comes twice, feels a bit better, and disappears. The care plan you recommended ends at visit three.

That is not a patient problem. It is a follow-up problem. Chiropractic care is usually recommended as a plan of visits, and the gap between "I feel better" and "the plan is complete" is where revenue leaks. Advertising for more first visits does not fix a plan that nobody follows up on.

What we would do first

We would pull the last six months of new patients and count how many finished the recommended plan. Then we would look at what happened when someone missed a visit: who called, when, and whether anyone did. That tells us whether the first project is ads or follow-up.

Your website: first visit, clearly explained

People searching for a chiropractor are usually in pain and a little skeptical. The site needs to explain what happens at the first visit and what it costs.

In Texas, the credential wording is specific. 22 Tex. Admin. Code ยง 77.3 says a licensee who uses "doctor" or "Dr." in any public communication or advertising must also clearly use "doctor of chiropractic," "D.C.," "chiropractor" or "chiropractic." That applies to your homepage headline, your Google Business Profile and every ad. We build sites by hand, so your credentials sit on every page where the rule needs them; see our web design approach.

LocaliQ does not break out chiropractic. LocaliQ's 2026 Search Advertising Benchmarks put Health and Fitness at $6.17 per click, a 6.94% conversion rate and $67.36 per lead, and Physicians and Surgeons at $4.76, 12.43% and $40.04. We budget from the more expensive figure and let your data correct it.

An illustration using $67.36 per lead, not a forecast:

  1. $800 a month in ad spend, paid directly to Google.
  2. About 12 new-patient inquiries.
  3. If 7 book and attend a first visit, each first visit cost about $115 in ad spend.
  4. Our fee is a flat $300 a month on top.

Those first visits only pay if patients stay on the plan. That is why the follow-up automation comes before any budget increase.

Chiropractor is on Google's US Local Services Ads list, and the same page notes that booking leads and pre-badge ads are unavailable for health care categories. Google's screening page lists practice general liability and provider malpractice insurance among the checks. If you are in Texas, see Google Ads management in Dallas or Houston.

Automations that fit how a chiropractic clinic works

  1. Missed-visit follow-up. When a care-plan patient misses a visit, they get a message the same day with a rebooking link, and the front desk sees who has not rebooked after 48 hours.
  2. Care-plan progress. Patients see how many visits remain in their plan in each reminder, which turns "am I done?" into a number.
  3. Intake and insurance. New-patient forms and a photo of the insurance card are completed before the first visit and filed to the patient record. See document data extraction.
  4. Reactivation. Patients who finished a plan get a check-in at an interval you choose, not a generic newsletter.

All of these handle patient information. HIPAA defines a business associate as anyone who creates, receives, maintains or transmits protected health information on behalf of a covered entity, and that includes the automation platform and any AI provider in the chain. If a vendor will not sign an agreement, patient data does not go into it.

An illustration of the follow-up value, assumptions written out: 30 new patients a month, 10 who drop out after visit three of a twelve-visit plan, getting 2 of them back for 9 more visits at $60 a visit is about $1,080 a month.

Reminder texts need patient consent under the TCPA. The FCC has also confirmed that AI-generated voices are "artificial" under that law, so AI calls need prior consent.

Honest limits

If your plans are short or most patients come for occasional relief visits, follow-up automation matters less; focus on reviews and first-visit ads. If your EHR already sends missed-visit messages, connect it instead of adding a second system.

No lock-in

You own the ad account, the website and the workflows. Management is month to month with 30 days' notice, and treatment decisions stay with you.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Google Ads cost for a chiropractor?

LocaliQ does not publish a chiropractic figure. Its 2026 benchmarks show Health and Fitness at $6.17 per click and $67.36 per lead, and Physicians and Surgeons at $4.76 per click and $40.04 per lead. Treat that range as a starting point and replace it with your own numbers.

Can chiropractors call themselves Dr. in ads?

In Texas, yes, but 22 Tex. Admin. Code 77.3 requires that any ad using doctor or Dr. also clearly use doctor of chiropractic, D.C., chiropractor or chiropractic. Other states have their own board rules, so check yours.

Are chiropractors eligible for Google Local Services Ads?

Yes. Chiropractor is on Google's US Local Services Ads list. Google notes that booking leads and pre-badge ads are not available for health care categories, so you need full verification, including license and malpractice insurance checks, before the ad runs.

Is it safe to use an AI chatbot on a chiropractic website?

For general questions like hours, insurance and first-visit expectations, yes. If the chatbot collects patient information, the vendor is handling it on your behalf and HIPAA requires a written business associate agreement. Clinical questions should go to your team.
