Google Ads Management for Dallas Businesses
For Dallas service businesses whose ads are aimed at the city limits while the customers and the calls are spread across the whole metro.
Someone in Garland searches for an emergency plumber at 9:40 p.m. Your ads stopped at 6, and a shop in Mesquite got the call.
That isn't a budget problem, and it isn't your office staff. It's a settings problem. The schedule, the map and the phone line were set up once and never checked against how the Dallas area actually searches.
What we would do first in Dallas
We start with the location report. It shows where the people who clicked were physically standing, city by city. Google Ads can target people who are in or regularly in your area, or also people who have only shown interest in it, as Google's location options page explains. For a Dallas service business that has to send a truck, the interest setting can buy clicks from people who will never be in your service area. That is usually the first leak we close, before touching keywords.
Dallas is a metro, not a city limit
The city of Dallas had 1,329,491 residents on July 1, 2025, the ninth-largest in the country, according to the Census Bureau's Vintage 2025 estimates. The growth is somewhere else, though. The Census Bureau's analysis of metro growth puts the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metro at 8.5 million, up 11.0% since April 2020. Dallas itself grew only about 1.9% over the same period. Most of the new households live on the edges.
So "Dallas, TX" as a single location target mixes neighborhoods you serve every day with places you would never drive to at rush hour. Split it.
Richardson, Irving, Garland and Mesquite
Each of these sits in a different direction from downtown, and each deserves its own line in the campaign.
- Richardson is about fourteen miles north on US 75, mostly in northern Dallas County with a smaller part in Collin County, per the Handbook of Texas. The city's economic development office counts 1,000+ employers, half of them in tech. That makes it a weekday, office-hours market for B2B services like IT support and commercial cleaning.
- Irving sits on State Highways 183 and 114 in western Dallas County, about twelve miles west of Dallas (Handbook of Texas).
- Garland is fifteen miles northeast of downtown in northeastern Dallas County (Handbook of Texas).
- Mesquite borders Dallas to the west and Garland to the north, and a small portion reaches into Kaufman County (Handbook of Texas). If you target by county, add that sliver or you will miss some of Mesquite's east side.
Inside the city, Visit Dallas lists more than 20 neighborhoods, from Deep Ellum and Uptown to Oak Cliff, Lower Greenville, Knox/Henderson and White Rock Lake. If you only work north of I-30, say so in the ad and on the landing page. It filters out calls you would turn down anyway.
When Dallas searches spike
The National Weather Service office in Fort Worth notes that severe weather peaks in spring, and that large hail, damaging winds, flooding and tornadoes occur nearly every year somewhere in the Metroplex. Roofers, glass shops and restoration companies should have a storm campaign built in February and left paused until a hail day.
Freezes are rarer and worse. During the February 2021 winter storm, DFW Airport stayed below freezing for 139 straight hours and hit -2°F on February 16. Plumbers who had a burst-pipe campaign ready could switch it on in minutes. Everyone else was writing ads while the phones rang.
For restaurants and venues near Fair Park, the State Fair of Texas runs Sept. 25 to Oct. 18 this year. That is a three-week window to raise budgets around one address.
Local Services Ads or Search?
With Local Services Ads you pay for valid leads, not clicks. Google's ranking page says your responsiveness counts and missed calls can hurt it. Search ads cost per click, but you pick the keywords, the hours and the page people land on. Most Dallas home-service businesses should run both. Our guide to Google Ads for plumbers in Dallas-Fort Worth walks through the setup step by step.
A Dallas plumbing budget, worked through
This is an illustration, not a forecast. It uses LocaliQ's 2025 home services benchmarks for plumbing: $10.49 average cost per click and 7.63% conversion rate.
- Ad spend of $2,500 a month ÷ $10.49 per click ≈ 238 clicks.
- 238 clicks × 7.63% ≈ 18 leads (calls and forms).
- If you book 1 in 3 leads, that is about 6 jobs.
- Total cost is $2,500 to Google + $300 management = $2,800, or roughly $467 per booked job.
If your average job is worth well above that, the math works. If it isn't, raise the close rate or aim at higher-value jobs before you add budget.
Today and after
| Today | After |
|---|---|
| One "Dallas" target that includes interest clicks from anywhere | Named cities and ZIPs, set to people who are actually there |
| Ads stop when the office closes | An after-hours campaign tied to a phone someone answers |
| Hail and freeze weeks start with writing ads | Storm and freeze campaigns built ahead and paused |
| No idea which calls came from ads | Call and form conversions tracked in your own account |
When it isn't worth it yet
If nobody can answer the phone during the hours your ads run, fix that first. Local Services Ads will rank you lower for missed calls, and Search clicks that reach voicemail are money gone. And if your plumbing budget is under about $1,000 a month, you are buying roughly 95 clicks. That is too few to learn from quickly, so start with Local Services Ads alone.
How the $300 works
It is a flat $300 a month. Your ad spend goes directly from your card to Google, with no markup and no percentage. We build the account in your name, so you own the billing, the history and the admin access. There is no annual contract, and you can leave with 30 days notice.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Google Ads management cost in Dallas?
Our fee is a flat $300 a month with no percentage of ad spend. Your ad budget is billed by Google to your own card, so the two costs stay separate and you can see exactly what Google charged.
How much does Google Ads cost for a plumber in Dallas?
LocaliQ's 2025 home services benchmarks put plumbing at an average of $10.49 per click and $129.02 per lead. Your real numbers depend on the services, hours and areas you target, so treat those as a starting point rather than a quote.
Should my Dallas ads cover the whole DFW metroplex?
Only the parts you can reach quickly and profitably. Most Dallas service businesses do better with named cities and ZIP codes, with separate bids for the suburbs that bring the best jobs.
Do I keep my Google Ads account if I stop working with you?
Yes. The account is built in your name from day one, and billing, history and admin access stay with you after we part ways.
Is there a contract for Google Ads management?
There is no annual contract. You can cancel with 30 days notice and there are no early-termination fees.
