Google Ads Management for Austin Businesses

For Austin firms selling to tech companies and the people who work for them, across a region that stretches from Georgetown to San Marcos.

Your IT support firm gets three leads a week from Google Ads. Two are job seekers and one is a student with a laptop that won't boot.

That isn't bad luck with the algorithm, and it isn't your sales team's fault. It's the keyword list. In a city full of tech workers, broad tech terms pull in every kind of searcher except the office manager with a budget.

What we would do first in Austin

We would read the search terms report line by line and cut everything that isn't a buyer. For a B2B firm that means adding job, career, salary, internship, course, free and DIY terms as negatives. It also means splitting campaigns by service, so managed IT, cybersecurity and cloud migration each have their own budget and landing page. Then we set the ad schedule to the hours your buyers actually work.

Why Austin is its own kind of market

Austin passed one million residents between 2024 and 2025, reaching 1,002,632 on July 1, 2025, according to the Census Bureau's Vintage 2025 estimates. The state's Austin-Round Rock region page describes the area as the "Silicon Hills". It points to Dell Technologies' global headquarters in Round Rock and to Tesla's Gigafactory Texas, which employs about 22,777 people. It also notes Samsung's chip plant in Taylor, 28 miles northeast of Austin.

The Texas Comptroller's Capital region report shows how fast the ring around the city is filling in. Regional population rose 30.5% from 2014 to 2024, with Hays County up 58.1% and Williamson County up 48.9%. Building equipment contractors are among the industries with large job gains.

So there are two Austins for an advertiser. One is a B2B market selling to employers and their offices. The other is a homeowner market that keeps moving outward.

Where to aim

The same state page links local partners in Round Rock, San Marcos, Pflugerville, Cedar Park and Georgetown. Use those as separate location targets:

  1. Central Austin for B2B firms selling to downtown and central offices.
  2. Round Rock, on I-35 in south central Williamson County sixteen miles north of downtown (Handbook of Texas), together with Georgetown if you serve it.
  3. Cedar Park, on US 183 about sixteen miles northwest of Austin (Handbook of Texas), and Pflugerville, fifteen miles north in northeastern Travis County (Handbook of Texas), each with its own bid.
  4. San Marcos, the Hays County seat on I-35 twenty-five miles south (Handbook of Texas), often better as its own campaign for home services.

For B2B, geography matters less than hours and keywords. For home services, it matters more than anything else, because a crew that crosses the region for one job loses most of a day.

The Austin calendar

Austin's calendar is event-heavy. ACL Fest runs October 2 to 4 and 9 to 11, 2026 in Zilker Park. For restaurants, rentals and hospitality, those are weekends to plan budgets and ads around. For B2B firms they are mostly weekends to ignore.

Weather matters too. The National Weather Service office for Austin and San Antonio documented the July 2025 Hill Country floods, which killed 139 people. It notes that Central Texas's steep slopes, shallow soils and exposed bedrock make it especially prone to flash flooding. Restoration, plumbing and roofing firms should keep a response campaign built and paused. Its ads should be plain and useful, never opportunistic.

Search, not Local Services Ads, for B2B

Local Services Ads charge per lead and cover many home-service trades, and they can suit Austin plumbers, electricians and cleaners. For IT support, bookkeeping, marketing or commercial cleaning, Search ads are the tool. You pick the exact service terms, run them only in business hours, and send each ad group to a page that names who you serve and what it costs to start.

An Austin B2B budget, worked through

This is an illustration, not a forecast. It uses LocaliQ's 2026 search advertising benchmarks for business services: $5.87 average cost per click and 4.85% conversion rate.

  1. $1,500 a month ÷ $5.87 ≈ 255 clicks.
  2. 255 × 4.85% ≈ 12 leads.
  3. If 1 in 4 becomes a sales call and 1 in 3 of those signs, that is about 1 new client a month.
  4. $1,500 to Google + $300 management = $1,800 a month.

One retained B2B client can be worth that many times over in a year. The honest point is that it takes a few months of tracked leads before you know your own close rate.

When it isn't worth it yet

If you close most new clients through referrals and have no page that explains your service to a stranger, build that page first. And if your average client is worth less than a few hundred dollars, B2B search will be hard to make pay. Try a narrower niche first.

How it works with us

A flat $300 a month, with ad spend paid by you straight to Google. The account is built in your name. There is no annual contract, and 30 days notice ends it.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Google Ads management cost in Austin?

A flat $300 a month. Your ad spend is extra and is billed by Google directly to your own card.

How much do Google Ads cost for a B2B service company in Austin?

LocaliQ's 2026 search advertising benchmarks put business services at an average of $5.87 per click and $93.69 per lead. B2B leads also take longer to close, so judge results over a few months.

Should an Austin business target Round Rock and Georgetown?

If you serve them, yes, but as separate targets. Williamson County is one of the fastest-growing parts of the region, and giving it its own budget lets you see whether those leads close.

Who owns my Google Ads account?

You do. We build it in your name, with your billing and admin access, and you keep everything if you leave.

Can Google Ads work for IT support or bookkeeping firms?

Yes, when the keywords are narrow and the landing page speaks to a specific buyer. Broad terms like software or consulting mostly attract job seekers and students.
